Working in partnership with parents to provide open communication and ensure the safety of all students, I wanted to inform you of an event that occurred today. We received a report that a threat was made on social media by a student to harm others at school. Administrators took immediate action and notified Law Enforcement. Together we acted promptly to begin disciplinary action. Providing a safe and secure learning environment is of top priority to the Salisbury School District, and we take these incidents very seriously.
Several students and parents notified us of this threat. We appreciate you reaching out and informing us immediately. We need to continue to work together to maintain an environment where students are free to focus on learning. As always, I welcome your comments and questions.
