W is for Winter
Storytime at the Library
January 14 from 11:30 to 12:15
Winter family activities:
Outdoor activities: go sledding, build a snowman, make snow angels, build a campfire and have smores, build an igloo, take a nature themed scavenger hike and bring back items you could use for winter crafts (pine cone, sticks, etc.)
Indoor activities: make crafts (snowflakes), make soup or chili, bake cookies, make hot cocoa, movie night, game night, music and dance night, pajama day
Outings: go ice skating, take a train trip, visit a museum, visit the aquarium, go bowling, go to the library and find a good book to read
Winter movies: Frozen, Ice Age, Snow Dogs, Snow Buddies, The Snowman
Vanilla Snow Ice Cream
8-12 cups of fresh, white snow
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Mix all the ingredients together and enjoy.
