School Bus Mechanic/Bus Driver- The Salisbury R-IV School District is accepting applications for a school bus mechanic/driver for the 2024-25 school year.  The position will work with the Transportation Director to plan, schedule, repair and preventative maintenance on Salisbury R-IV transportation fleet as needed; ensure the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition; and perform duties as a daily driver of a school bus.  To apply, submit a resume and completed non-certified job application to Jared Wallace or Troy Billue, Salisbury R-IV Schools, 1000 South Maple Ave. Salisbury, MO 65281.  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Possess or be able to train to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License with passenger and School Bus (S) endorsement

    • Salisbury R-IV will provide training to assist in obtaining this license if needed

    • The School Bus (S) endorsement requires an annual physical exam

  • Minimum of two years driving experience (does not have to be a school bus)

  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test

  • Complete a background check

  • Exhibit professionalism

  • Experience repairing and servicing school buses or other vehicles, willingness to learn as training can be provided
