The SHS Speech Team traveled to Mexico High School on Saturday March 7 to compete in the district competition. Of the team’s eight entries they sent five to finals. Results are as follows: Madisyn Conway and Emmalee Wyatt placed 3rd in Duo Interpretation, Madisyn Conway placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation, Drake Whitman placed 6th in Radio, Olivia Sloan placed 3rd in Poetry Reading, and Stran Henry placed 7th in Prose Reading. Ella Scheiderer also competed in Extemporaneous Speaking, Olivia Sloan competed in Original Oratory, and Stran Henry competed in Humorous Interpretation. Congratulations to everyone on a very successful season and special thanks to our coach, Mrs. Maxwell on her accomplishments this year!
