Denver, CO became a sea of red blazers July 2-6, 2023. Lydea Britt, daughter of Ryan and Rebecca Britt, traveled to compete in STAR Events, learn from motivational speakers, attend leadership workshops, and network with other FCCLA members from across the country. Lydea was accompanied by Salisbury FCCLA Adviser Lindsay Ostermann.
Lydea competed in the Career Investigation STAR Event (Level 1 which includes 6-8 graders). At the STAR Event Recognition Session, which recognizes the top ten of the more than 30 different categories, Lydea was announced as the 1st place winner of her category. She received a plaque and a gold medal.
