Panther

Hello Salisbury R-IV School Community,

We hope you’re having a restful, enjoyable summer.  We are excited to get our staff and students back in our buildings.   Our schools are in great shape as our custodians and maintenance staff have worked hard in seeing that things are ready for the start of school.

With the first day of school quickly approaching,  issues remain to deal with COVID-19 in procedures.   I give my sincere thank you to all for how well you partnered with us last school year in dealing with the unprecedented issues brought by the pandemic.

I know moving into this year, the pandemic and its effects can be challenging and tiresome, but there is also some good news.  The medical world knows a lot more at this point than they did in March of 2020.  With that knowledge, many requirements and suggestions have changed from the CDC and our local health department.

We will continue to utilize the knowledge of these two agencies to determine our procedures moving into the 2021-2022 school year.  We will  always try to do our very best for the health and well being of your child in the plans we have for our school year.

Many of the cleaning practices we had in place last year will be used again this year.  There are many changes as well, as the world has learned some of these procedures had little impact on pandemic safety.

As always, we will monitor the positive cases and updates from CDC and the health department to alter any plans for safety reasons as the year goes on.

Our administration, teachers, and staff worked hard last year in seeing our students

received high quality instruction during the pandemic.   We held in-person learning for almost all of the year.  Our facilities were incredibly well cared for and clean. Our staff was well prepared for procedures and changes.

As always, we are excited for the start of another great school year.  I believe our staff, students and community have already shown what a great school district we are in handling this adversity.  I am confident that we are ready for another fantastic year of learning and growing at Salisbury Schools.

Thank you for your continued support.  And as always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions.  School phone 660-388-6699.   Email:  twhiston@salisbury.k12.mo.us

Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Yours in education,
