Congratulations to the SHS Speech team on their performances at Lexington’s Battle of the Bales meet on Saturday, January 14th. The team finished 4th overall, and the following members placed in individual events:

Drake Whitman placed 2nd in US Extemporaneous Speaking
Mason Duncan placed 2nd in International Extemporaneous Speaking
Davis Conway placed 2nd in Humorous Interpretation
Briana Ponder placed 3rd in Poetry Reading
Annie Nugent placed 4th in Storytelling
Morgan Kallmeyer placed 5th in Dramatic Interpretation
Morgan Kallmeyer and Vallorie Kinnison place 5th in Improv Duet Acting
Vallorie Kinnison and Collier Kuhlman placed 5th in Duo Interpretation
Collier Kuhlman placed 6th in Dramatic Interpretation
Kaden Kirchhoff placed 6th in Radio Speaking
The SHS Speech team also competed at Fort Osage on 1/6-1/7 and Briana Ponder placed 6th in Program of Oral Interpretation.
