At approximately 1:45 pm, the District received information from joint communications that an incident not involving the school district required a soft lockdown for safety purposes. Without additional information about the concern, we did place all buildings in the District on soft lockdown. We communicated with local law enforcement to make decisions regarding both the lockdown and dismissal precautions. No students or staff members were in danger as a result of the incident that prompted these procedures. School safety is our priority and we appreciate the communications from all parties involved.
Thank you,
Jared Wallace
