In show of support for the 2020 Senior Class, the Salisbury R-IV Schools will be joining schools around the country and state by turning on our football field lights on Friday, April 10th, at 8:20 pm, which is 20:20 military time, and leaving them lit for 20 minutes and 20 seconds to honor the class of 2020. The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Board will also join in this support by turning on the baseball field lights during this time.

To the Students, Parents, Patrons, and Staff of the Salisbury R-IV Community, I know this year is not ending the way any of us could have ever imagined. Today, Governor Mike Parson announced all school buildings in Missouri will be closed for the remainder of this school year. Our teachers will continue to provide resources and support for our students through the rest of the scheduled school year. The district will also continue to provide free meals to all students under 18. Today, we provided about 200 meals to students in our community. If you have not signed up, I would encourage you to do so. We’d love to provide lunch for every student. We will continue to provide services to our students through the end of our scheduled school year that ends on Friday, May, 22nd. I want to share some things we will be working on regarding end of the year activities. There will not be a traditional Graduation on May 17th. We will be developing a plan for how and when to handle graduation. I am hopeful it will be a day later in the summer. We will also be working on plans as to how to address Prom and awards programs. We will provide information at a later date regarding the return of school property (books, Chrome books, uniforms, etc) and picking up any personal belongings you have at school. Please check your account balances on SIS. If you owe money, please pay those when you can. As for the Class of 2020 Seniors, I am very proud of each of you and I have truly enjoyed spending the last four years watching you grow and achieve so many things in the classroom and in all your extra-curricular activities. You are a very special group! You will have memories and stories to share for years to come. Let me know if you need anything. Sincerely, Troy Clawson Superintendent Salisbury R-IV School District
