JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: School Bus Mechanic/Bus Driver
REPORTS TO: Transportation Director/Lead Mechanic
JOB SUMMARY:
The Salisbury R-IV School District is accepting applications for a school bus mechanic/driver for the 2024-25 school year. The position will work with the Transportation Director to plan, schedule, repair and preventative maintenance on Salisbury R-IV transportation fleet as needed; ensure the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition; and perform duties as a daily driver of a school bus. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21 years of age
Possess or be able to train to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License with passenger and School Bus (S) endorsement
Salisbury R-IV will provide training to assist in obtaining this license if needed
The School Bus (S) endorsement requires an annual physical exam
Minimum of two years driving experience (does not have to be a school bus)
Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
Complete a background check
Exhibit professionalism
Experience repairing and servicing school buses or other vehicles, willingness to learn as training can be provided

There will be a JH Football Camp July 24th-26th and 29th-30th from 6pm to 7:45pm. There is no cost and athletes will be in t-shirts, shorts, and cleats.
Baseball will have a meeting followed by practice 8-10 am on Friday June 14 at the city field. Anyone interested in playing high school baseball is encouraged to attend.
HS football equipment checkout is tomorrow morning May 31st from 7-9AM in the PE locker room.

There will be lifting/conditioning for JH Boys from 8:30-9:30 M,Tu,Th,Fr starting June 3rd.
Reminder tonight's HS Spring Sports Awards program for HS baseball, track and boys golf will take place in the dome at 7:00 pm

The HS Spring Sports Awards Program for baseball, golf, and hs track will take place on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 pm in the dome.

Good Luck to the Panther Baseball team today at the Sectional game @ Tipton. Game time is 5:30 pm and tickets must be purchased online through the MSHSAA website. The game is being live streamed via pay per view on midvid, & on KMMO radio.
