On Friday, March 20th, the Salisbury 8th grade attended the 31st annual Chariton County Government Day. During the event, students participated in a mock trial, with several selected to serve as members of the jury. They also toured the courthouse, where they learned about the roles and responsibilities of our county's various elected officials. In addition, students visited the county jail as well as watched a demonstration put on by our county’s K-9 unit. Finally, they toured the 911 office, where students were able to see how our 911 dispatchers respond to emergencies.
