Thirty-two Salisbury FCCLA members attended the Region 3 FCCLA Fall Meeting at Schuyler County High School on September 22, 2025. Junior Lydea Britt, who serves as the Regional President this school year, led the meeting along with the other 9 regional officers. State FCCLA President Bella Baker gave a motivational speech about her journey with FCCLA. She encouraged members to be active members of their chapter and community and never be afraid to take a chance.
Members enjoyed an inspiring and informative speech by LyNae McFarland, an educator with Lifeline Services in Kirksville. Raising money for Lifeline is this year’s service project for the region. The region raised over $500 for Lifeline. This year members were also allowed to bring items for the state service project as their registration fee. These items were for Care to Learn, an organization that partners with school districts to provide emergent health, hunger and hygiene resources to students. Members brought over 250 items for Care to Learn.
After the meeting members enjoyed workshops provided by the regional officers and two members of the Lifeline services team. Lydea’s workshop centered on being an active member of an active chapter, giving members of the schools in the region new ideas on how to get members excited about FCCLA.
